Oct. 13 - Wednesday, Hofstra University presents: Hofstra Votes! Learning the Issues and Making a Difference - A Day of Dialogue, Debate and Discussion. Voices from Iraq 2:55-4:20 PM Axinn Library, 10th floor. Photos and a conversation between an American journalist, Lorna Tychostup, and an American soldier, James Nicholas, both of whom have been in Iraq in recent months.

Lorna Tychostup is currently booking engagements for a speaking tour of universities and smaller colleges. Her presentation is flexible and can incorporate a PowerPoint presentation inclusive of over one hundred photos, question and answer period, panel discussions and/or photo exhibit. At times when she is in the US, Tychostup's Iraqi interpreter will accompany her. Expenses to date, in relation to this project, exceed several thousand dollars and require Tychostup to request a modest stipend and a travel expense fee. All proceeds go toward her ongoing work in Iraq.
